About Dr. Payne's Family

Dr. Philip A. Payne is many things to many people, though he is first and foremost a family man and always will be. His dedication to his wife, Leisa, and three children, Jacob, Leah and Keli, have at times caused people to question his devotion to his many other endeavors, however, he is an adamant proponent of the belief that "A man's first ministry is to his family. If that's not the case, then he has no business being in ministry of any form."

This belief has guided him in all of the endeavors for which he has come to be well known. It has lead him to labor for the rekindling of connections between homeless individuals to whom he minsters and their estranged families, to speak at various churches on the importance of the family unit and even to found the Order of the Sword of the Spirit.

Dr. Payne has also become an avid researcher of his own family tree. In the process, he has uncovered many interesting truths concerning his heritage, including members of the ancient Galoglass warrior society of Ireland and knights involved in the Norman invasion of the same.

Later, two of his ancestors were extremely important to the colonial cause during the American Revolution. So much so, that the British placed a price on their heads and gave orders that upon capture they were to be executed immediately.

In more recent times, the Payne family has seen many members enlisted in the United States Military. Indeed, it would seem that Dr. Payne was literally bred for the purpose of becoming the icon of the combative sciences which he is today.

Dr. Payne is currently working on a website which will detail much of the information which he has gathered concerning his family. However, the following are coats of arms of the various knights and lords from whom he is directly descended.
